This is “Underdogs - The Contenders”

My new collector’s print series. I’ve always loved boxing, the movies, the main events I used to watch with my Dad and of course Mike Tyson’s Punchout on the Nintendo Entertainment Series.

Between all of that, I love superheroes cartoons & action figures. Especially the ones like He-man, Super Powers & Transformer where they just reused the same figure with different heads, paint and accessories to create a all the different characters. It was all about efficiency and practically to make something great for the fans & collectors.

Inspired by this level of nostalgia, I’d like to show off some artworks I’ve been working on. Underdogs - The Contenders. A fun collection of noir inspired boxing characters, who did the work but didn’t take home the chocolates. These guys have all jumped in the ring and not won the title.

I drew this guy one of ‘those’ days, when I was feeling a little beat up by the day to day, work and modern life. Which is why this line artworks is all about standing up, dusting yourself off and rolling with the punches.

In the words of one of cinema’s greatest characters, Rocky Balboa “…You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward…”

And that’s goddamn right. Everyone is fighting their own battles, but right now, we’re all here and we’re all still standing.

This first series consists of 24 Unique Characters designs, which will have 10 x A3 Archival/Museum quality prints, hand-signed & numbered by myself.

Once these Extremely Limited signed prints are sold out they’ll be gone forever.

As always, thank you all for supporting and following my work.

Happy collecting.
