The T-800 “Goodbye” - Acrylic Painting on Composit Wood Board

This T-800 artwork is a distinctive and compelling piece for any true Terminator fan, that’s looking for a point of difference in their collection. With this piece, I sought to capture a hint of Boris Karloff’s 'Frankenstein’s Monster', drawing a deliberate parallel between two iconic figures born of human ambition. Just as the creature stands as a monument to Victorian hubris, the Terminator represents our modern apprehension surrounding the pursuit of true artificial general intelligence—a creation that may one day decide our fate.

This character portrait marks my return to traditional acrylic painting after a 24-year hiatus. Depicting the much-loved 'Uncle Bob', the piece measures approximately 23cm x 31cm and is painted on a 4mm thick, gesso-treated MDF wood panel. It is finished with a distinctive blue-painted border along the edges, adding a contemporary touch to the classic composition.
